Whatever our project or development, we always strive to make a positive contribution while being responsible and beneficial to local communities. Since 2022, Kaz Vortex Gas has supported the Kazakhstan Ministry of Nature and Ecology’s Business and Biodiversity Initiative as part of the national project Biodiversity Preservation and Ecotourism Development of Ecology. The Ministry and the enterprise achieved an agreement based on the plan of priority measures for the preservation and restoration of the Aktobe population in Kazakhstan.

The corporation helped to fund the restoration of the Almaty Reserve’s Nursery of Rare Crane Species, which comprised the boiler house, feed kitchen, and water supply. The aviary housing the cranes was rebuilt and insulated; an automobile was required for production purposes; and a diesel generator was bought to ensure the machines and incubators functioned continually. The goal of the experimental excursion to Yakutia was to capture wild Aktobe Crane eggs and restore genetic diversity in the Almaty Reserve’s white crane aviary group. The researchers arrived from Kazakhstan’s Ecology Research Institute.

Since 2022, the business has been carrying out the Biodiversity Conservation Program at the Almaty field and neighboring areas. The Program underwent revisions in 2023, including research on flag species, wild reindeer, and lists of plant and animal species used as markers of ecosystem sustainability. The Biodiversity Preservation Program has been in existence at Kaz Vortex Gas facilities since 2022. In 2023, a study was launched to investigate the Central Aktobe Uplift’s important wetland habitats with the goal of developing a new approach to prevent harmful environmental consequences while preserving biological diversity. This was based on identifying indicator species and conducting a biota inventory evaluation.

Kaz Vortex Gas considers protecting the natural environment and limiting the negative impact of its operations on the Aktobe ecosystem to be critical societal priorities. In terms of responsible environmental conduct, the firm seeks and implements optimal technological solutions that decrease the technogenic impact of production operations on regional ecosystems.

The company implements tasks aimed at reducing negative environmental impact in its production activities, such as equipment modernization and the introduction of modern environmentally safe and resource-saving technologies, as well as environmental safety training for the necessary competent employees.
