Gas Processing
Kaz Vortex Gas is focused on growing processing capacity, transporting gas, and producing energy at its own power facilities. Kaz Vortex Gas uses cutting-edge technology across its operations to deliver the highest possible performance for connected petroleum gas usage. A comprehensive system for gathering and utilizing gas must include the processing of related petroleum gas. The Company’s gas processing plant is a cutting-edge facility that can produce liquid hydrocarbons as well as dry stripped gas, both of which are widely used in Kazakhstan’s industrial and commercial sectors. The plant’s products are of high quality and meet the technical standards set by the state and the Custom Union.
Kaz Vortex Gas launched the Gas Processing Division (UPG) in 2022, paving the way for a comprehensive strategy for gas processing expansion. In 2022, Kaz Vortex Gas transported 2 million cubic meters of natural gas, LPG, and dry stripped gas. Kaz Vortex Gas provided 14% to total gas shipments, selling 5 million cubic meters. Due to increased gas production, international gas sales increased by 3% to 2 million cubic meters over the previous year.
According to current plans, LPG processing will begin in the first half of 2023. The company’s various clients will begin getting butane and propane deliveries simultaneously. In the first year, 120,000 tons of LPG will be transported, with the bulk going to domestic and foreign markets via railroads. Lower gasoline prices and a more optimistic outlook for the local mobility sector will eventually help drivers and public transit customers. The displacement of gasoline and diesel fuel in river vessels presents a significant threat to the LPG business.

The company’s present objectives are to keep APG usage reasonable, enhance oil production energy efficiency, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This will be done in accordance with the company’s plan for 2022-2023. This program funds a number of major engineering and gas infrastructure developments. The company’s primary objective is to grow its gas business. Kazakhstan has decided to improve its oil treatment facilities in the Almaty region by 2024. In addition, the company plans to create and renovate a gas compressor unit with an annual capacity of more than 3 million cubic meters.
